Features

Learn, diagnose, and share — built for how doctors and GPs actually work.

Learning Hub

One Learn tab for Discover, quizzes, articles, videos, and podcasts. Continue learning and featured picks sit on Home so you can pick up where you left off.

Discover

Bite-size pearls, condition of the week, and clinical images — swipe through teaching content between consults, with optional Daily Pearl and weekly push prompts.

Articles, videos & podcasts

In-app teaching articles plus videos and podcasts. Core Learn content is free; selected podcasts and videos unlock with Pro.

Offline Scoring

Rule-based morphology wizard — body map, symptom tags, and ranked differentials. Works without signal in the consultation room.

AI Differential

Same clinical wizard with AI-ranked differentials, confidence scores, and rationale when you are online.

Visual Scan

Upload or capture a lesion photo. AI returns morphology, ABCDE assessment, differentials, red flags, and next steps.

Dermatology Atlas

Thousands of curated comparison images with search, category filters, featured toggle, and full-screen zoom.

Clinical quizzes

Dermatology quizzes with scores, streaks, and weekly challenges via push notification — inside the Learning Hub.

Colour themes

Classic is free. Pro unlocks Warm, Tech, Sunrise, Midnight, Sand, and Forest — each with its own colours and font. Light, dark, or system brightness is separate.

Share with colleagues

Share DermWizard with another doctor or GP. Your referral code unlocks bonus visual scan analyses for both of you.

Case history

Auto-save consultations under Diagnose → History. Filter by Offline, AI, or Image Scan. Add GP notes and review differentials later.

PCDS aligned

Clinical content derived from Primary Care Dermatology Society pathways — for healthcare professionals.

Learning Hub

Discover, quizzes, articles, videos, and podcasts — one place to build dermatology confidence.

Discover

Pearl, Condition, and Image sub-tabs for bite-size teaching. Optional Daily Pearl, Condition of the Week, and Weekly Quiz Challenge notifications.

Quizzes

Image and vignette questions with instant feedback, scores, streaks, and category filters.

Articles

In-app teaching articles with covers and summaries — continue from Home when you leave mid-read.

Videos & podcasts

Watch or listen in Learn. Selected episodes are Pro; background podcast playback continues when you leave the screen.

Diagnose in clinic

Location → age → symptoms → results — the same flow for offline and AI modes.

Interactive body map

Tap the affected area on a turnable diagram, then refine with optional sub-location chips (scalp, nail, etc.).

Patient context

Optional age and gender to improve AI ranking — both can be left as not specified.

Multi-category symptom picker

Search across all features or browse morphology, colour, distribution, nail signs, and more. Long-press any chip for a reference image.

Rich results screen

Expandable differentials with matching features, PCDS guidance links, atlas images, upvote/downvote feedback, and report missing diagnosis.

Visual Scan report

Structured AI output for photo-based consultations.

Primary morphology & ABCDE

Asymmetry, border, colour, diameter, and evolution assessment alongside lesion description.

Differential & red flags

Ranked possible conditions with clinical red flags and suggested next steps.

Atlas cross-links

Jump from analysis results to matching atlas images for the suggested conditions.

Optional clinical context

Add gender, quick-select symptom tags, and (Pro) free-text clinical notes before analysis.

Share and personalise

Decision support for doctors and GPs — not a diagnostic device.

Share with colleagues

Settings → Refer a colleague. Share your code; when another doctor or GP redeems it, you both receive 20 bonus visual scans.

Colour themes

Classic is free. Pro unlocks Warm, Tech, Sunrise, Midnight, Sand, and Forest — each with its own colours and font.

Customisable Home

Reorder diagnostic modes, shortcuts, and Home sections. Light, dark, or system brightness sits alongside themes.

No account required

Download, accept the one-time clinical disclaimer, and start — no email sign-up for core features.

FAQ

Does DermWizard need internet?

Offline Scoring, the Atlas, Terminology guide, Discover pearls and conditions, Quizzes, and saved case history work without connectivity. AI Differential, Visual Scan, and Learn videos or podcasts need an internet connection. Articles load when you are online.

What is the Learning Hub?

The Learn tab brings Discover (pearls, conditions, images), quizzes, articles, videos, and podcasts into one place. Home also shows Continue learning and featured picks. Selected videos and podcasts require DermWizard Pro.

What is the difference between the three diagnostic modes?

Offline Scoring uses rule-based matching on your symptom tags — fully private and offline. AI Differential adds AI-ranked results with rationale when online. Visual Scan analyses a photo plus optional clinical context.

Is DermWizard a diagnostic device?

No. It is clinical decision support for healthcare professionals, aligned with PCDS content. You remain responsible for clinical judgment and urgent referral pathways.

Do I need an account?

No email sign-up is required. Install the app, accept the one-time clinical disclaimer, and start using Learn, Diagnose, and Atlas immediately.

What is DermWizard Pro?

An optional one-time in-app purchase that removes ads, unlocks colour themes, unlocks Pro podcasts and videos, and increases Visual Scan limits — up to 5 analyses per day and 3 photos per scan, plus a clinical notes field. Core medical pathways stay available on the free tier.

What colour themes are available?

Classic is free. Pro unlocks Warm, Tech, Sunrise, Midnight, Sand, and Forest — each with its own colours and font. Light, dark, or system brightness is independent of the colour theme.

How do visual scan limits work?

Free tier: one photo per scan with periodic scan allowance; watch a rewarded ad or rate the app for bonus scans. Share DermWizard with a colleague and you both receive 20 bonus scans. Pro users get higher daily limits.

What is saved in Case History?

Consultations can auto-save with location, selected features, differentials, recommendations, and your GP notes. Open Diagnose → History and filter by Offline, AI, or Image Scan.

Where does the clinical content come from?

Content is derived from the Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS) framework, with atlas images from credited sources including CDC, NLM, and DermNet.
